A Look at the Process

This is a tub that has been refinished once before. We have to strip it before we can begin the refinishing process.

This is the tub being etched with the particular etch that we make in our facility.

This is our primer on the bathtub. The primer is a water-resistant epoxy primer that has a silane coupling agent added to it before we apply it on the bathtub.

This is the finished product. The chemical we use is an aliphatic acrylic polyurethane enamel, which is the only chemical that should be used in our industry, and is used by 95% of the professional refinishing companies throughout the U.S.

Our spray booths are 10' by 10' by 8' high. We use these booths to refinish objects brought to us by customers, and to refinish claw-footed bathtubs. We also use it in our training program.

These are two oven doors and a cooktop that are harvest gold and are going to be refinished to bone.

These are the same oven doors and cooktop refinished to bone. Note how we dismantled the oven doors and cooktop. By doing this you have a permanent seal, as well as a more professional look.

These are the same oven doors and cooktop refinished to bone and put back together, waiting to be picked up by the customer. Generally it takes us three to four days to complete an item once it is brought to us (excluding bathtubs).

This is a commode top that a customer broke in five pieces. Since it is a discontinued color, she would have to change her entire bathroom to match a new commode, so we are going to glue it back together and refinish it.

This is a commode being etched with our acid etch. Note how we also etch the inside of the commode. If this process holds up to constant water, just think of how it will hold up on your bathtub.

This is a 60-year-old pedestal sink that has been refinished and put on display in our showroom. We also buy, refinish and resell clawed bathtubs and various pedestal sinks.

This is a side view of the clawed bathtub. On the outside, we sandblasted then refinished the cast iron with semi-gloss enamel. This makes the white "high-gloss" porcelain inside the bathtub stand out more.
